馃帹 Students at Hewes have been diving into the exciting world of 3D printing, sculpture, plastics, and recycling鈥攁ll in one hands-on learning experience! 馃枿锔
With guidance from Mr. Turner, students explored STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) concepts while learning how 3D printers work. They discovered the differences between Polylactic Acid (PLA) and Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol (PET-G) filaments, their applications, and how they can be recycled. 鈾伙笍
To bring their creativity to life, students even tested out 3D Doodler pens, thanks to the E2CCB Media Center! 馃枈锔

More than a dozen employees of Jamestown Engine Plant were recently treated to a spa day with the help of Cosmetology students at the LoGuidice Educational Center! 馃拠鈥嶁檧锔 馃拝 鉁傦笍
The event, which supported Cummins鈥 Every Employee Every Community initiative and coordinated with the #E2CCB Grant Services team, allowed employees to earn engagement hours and support seniors in the Cosmetology program.
鈥淚 think events like this really build up confidence in students. It also helps them get ready for the workforce,鈥 Cosmetology instructor Laura Lindquist said. 鈥淐ollaborating also helps the community by giving them a fun experience.鈥
During the event at LoGuidice, Cummins employees were able to receive haircuts, manicures, pedicures, facials, and waxes.
鈥淚 thought this was a great opportunity for everyone,鈥 said Pam Exley, administrative assistant at Cummins. 鈥淚t was a chance for us to come in and relax a little bit.鈥

馃實 E2CCB Global Conversations: Connecting Students Worldwide! 鉁
E2CCB鈥檚 Global Conversations program is bringing students together from across the world to share perspectives, discuss global issues, and build cultural understanding.
Brocton High School kicked off the series with a powerful conversation featuring students from Ukraine, and Holland High School has since joined, connecting with peers from Hong Kong, Uganda, Nigeria, and Taiwan!
鈥淭his is an amazing opportunity for our students to learn firsthand about different cultures,鈥 said Michelle Swanson, Brocton鈥檚 World Culture teacher.
With monthly virtual sessions, students engage in meaningful discussions on global topics, including the United Nations鈥 17 Goals, fostering empathy, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Friday, E2CCB proudly joined the global celebration of World Down Syndrome Day by rocking our brightest, boldest, and most mismatched socks! Why socks? Because chromosomes are shaped like socks 鈥 and on 3/21, we celebrate the extra 21st chromosome that makes people with Down syndrome wonderfully unique. 馃挋馃挍
Our students, staff, and community came together to raise awareness, promote inclusion, and show that different is beautiful. 馃挮
